Audit Manager - Aegon AM
Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple and concurrent projects in accordance with department standards for quality.
- Communicates audit progress and results to both department and business unit management, both verbally and in writing.
- Prepares timely reports/memos that detail the results of work and improvement recommendations.
- Manages the development of the annual risk assessment and resulting audit plan.
- Effectively identifies and evaluates the risks/impacts associated with identified processes.
- Actively manages the development of staff and the review and evaluation of staff performance.
- Manages specific client relationships to assure department is up-to-date on client activities, issues and concerns.
- Makes effective decisions and recommends changes to procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
- Educates and coaches other auditors on audit principles and audit execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Appropriate audit experience in a managerial position, but relevant business management experience would be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five or more years of managerial experience.
- Strong knowledge of audit process or related work experience.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or related certifications preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Normal office environment.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Travel required (approx. 15 - 25%).
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of candidate’s relevant experience and other job-related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
