Intermediate Financial Analyst - Investment Reporting
Responsibilities
Extract financial and attribute data from core accounting system to perform appropriate financial analyses.
Responsible for core system integrity and data quality in accordance with accounting policy and processing procedures. Candidate will be responsible for daily review of activity processing results and be able to address questions regarding financial results calculated by the system.
Assist in the determination of how best to utilize the core system when new or unique investment activities are encountered.
Analyze data to document and explain past financial performance at an individual asset level.
Responsible for working directly with the vendor and stakeholder to resolve process exceptions.
Accountable for maintaining a positive, proactive relationship with internal customers.
Recommends changes to processes to improve and achieve greater efficiencies by documenting business requirements and participating in testing efforts.
Assist with project work and may serve as a member of a project team.
Assist client reporting with earned income analysis and trend reporting.
May assist with monthly accounting processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by preparing journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations.
Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in performing financial analysis.
Proficiency using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting/financial area preferred (for example, investments, insurance products, premium).
Customer-oriented with demonstrated communication skills both orally and written.
Experience in with financial analysis and collaborative problem solving with others.
Attention to detail and accuracy
Deadline driven with the ability to multi-task and work effectively individually and within a team.
Working Conditions
Fast paced deadline-driven
Hybrid/office environment or remote for those outside of Cedar Rapids.
The US salary for this position generally ranges between $59,000-$70,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
