Intermediate Tax Accountant (Iowa Area)
Responsibilities
Prepare, and/or review local, state and federal tax returns, as well as financial and management reports.
Prepare, maintain and analyze tax records and reports; subject to review.
Research more complex tax issues, analyze applicable tax laws and document conclusions.
Use computer systems and/or reporting tools to input, retrieve or summarize tax information.
Perform moderately complex tasks under general supervision using some analytics skills and ingenuity.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience.
Two years of experience in tax, accounting, or comparable role.
Understanding of tax accounting concepts, practices and procedures.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Organizational skills to perform multiple assignments.
Written/verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of applicable tax and/or accounting software systems.
Proficiency using MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of on-line research software such as Bloomberg BNA.
Working Conditions
*Commuting Remote employees will need to report to a Company office location at times in Cedar Rapids, IA, but will perform their work primarily remotely.*
The US salary for this position generally ranges between $57,500 - $72,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
