Senior DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes (Work from Home - US)
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will work on an agile team with developers from internal business units to deliver business value and outcomes. You will develop, test, and implement infrastructure code to assist the team in achieving their goals. Work will be done start to finish by an intact cross-functional team using an agile methodology, and employing the assistance of a scrum master, product owner, and agile coach. Each member of the team brings unique technical skills and strives to cross train to gain additional technical knowledge across multiple disciplines in an exciting and dynamic work environment.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver 'best-in-breed' cloud-native platform infrastructure hosting micro-services and API's that deliver high-volume, time-sensitive operational intelligence
- Build, configure and maintain high-quality Kubernetes cluster builds hosting our data and insights products to ensure uptime, creating new non-production environments and periodically refreshing customer-facing production environments
- Lead migration of front-end / back-end services and APIs from self-managed infrastructure to Kubernetes platforms collectively owned by the Kubernetes Engineering team and BU partners
- Develop and support the tools and infrastructure that support the SDLC pipeline and configuration management capabilities
- Develop, Deploy and Support Cloud Infrastructure, as code artifacts or modules
- Design, Build and Maintain Cloud infrastructure and applications
- Support and deliver using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines
- Design and Support resiliency and scalability using AWS and other cloud platforms
- Enable systems with automated monitoring and alerting
- Support the Team and Customers with day-to-day requests, Change and Incident tickets
- Support Technology stack refresh on Systems (end-to-end) when required
- Ensure automated security is built into each technology stack
What You Will Need:
- Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
- Three years or more of continuous integration and continuous delivery experience
- Prior full-time, hands-on experience managing multi-cluster Kubernetes environments
- Deep working knowledge of Kubernetes administration concepts and services
- Proficiency with Kubernetes-related tools like kubectl, helm and K8S
- Proficiency with CloudBees administration and CI installations
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform
- Four-year Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience
- 2-3 years of experience working in a high performing DevOps team or role
- 2-3 years of experience in performance monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting in an enterprise
- Strong, holistic understanding of the internet and hosting from the network layer up through the application layer
Preferred
- Proficiency automating AWS service provisioning
- Scripting or coding skills in languages like Python or JavaScript
- Experience with automated build and release tools (Jenkins, TFS/Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Octopus)
- Experience running and troubleshooting applications running on containers
- Experience working in roles with a strong focus on security, including automated alerting and response
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of API’s and API Security
- Demonstrated ability in automated code testing
- Certifications in relevant technologies, methods, or platforms
- Demonstrate the key critical behaviors of commitment to task, communication, customer focus, decision making/problem solving, tolerance of ambiguity, planning, prioritizing, and goal setting
Working Conditions
- After hour’s on-call participation may be required
- Some travel may be required not to exceed an average of 2 weeks per quarter

Compensation:
The US salary for this position generally ranges between $106,400 - $146,300 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

Expected Starting Salary Range: £54,800 - £75,350
*This position is also eligible for an incentive bonus
