Senior Financial Analyst - Aegon AM
Responsibilities:
- Supports financial analysis of company’s critical initiatives.
- Works effectively with other global departments to ensure business issues are resolved for the success of the company.
- Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities and accountable for target dates and quality of work.
- Extracts financial data from various accounting and information systems (Tagetik) to perform appropriate analyses.
- Analyzes data and defines relevant information; interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial result.
- Resolves appropriate methodology to prepare information for use by others.
- Interprets financial transactions and events for users and may offer recommendations to those making economic or business decisions.
- Uses a thorough understanding of the business to proactively develop financial reports and sophisticated models for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
- Participates on project teams or leads project teams.
- Possesses and applies broad knowledge of concepts and principles or exhibits technical expertise in a specific area; works with minimal instruction or guidance with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed action or decisions; performs moderately difficult assignments with diverse scope and complexity, requiring a great deal of originality, creativity and problem solving with initiative and independent judgment required.
- Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience, with degree.
- Advanced computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience the asset management industry.
- Ability to independently prioritize and work on numerous projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Highly developed analytical, problem recognition and resolution, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Ability to reliably communicate orally and in writing.
- Customer service approach.
- Work effectively individually and within a team.
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of candidate’s relevant experience and other job-related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
