Lead Compliance Analyst - Transamerica Agency Network
Responsibilities
Provide sound advice and guidance to business partners regarding, existing and emerging regulatory and compliance risks related to the sale of life insurance and fixed-indexed annuities.
Research, analyze, and interpret new and proposed laws and regulations that are applicable to Transamerica Agency Network’s life insurance and annuity business.
Develop, maintain, enhance, and distribute compliance policies and procedures designed to achieve compliance with insurance laws and regulations.
Develop, deliver, and monitor the completion of required compliance training in accordance with a training plan that is reviewed and updated on an annual basis.
Develop and execute a field office inspection program which includes establishing a risk-based inspection schedule, drafting and distributing examination reports, and reporting on trends and themes identified through the inspection program.
Implement surveillance reporting to support the identification of potential sales practice issues such as complaints and problematic sales patterns or trends.
Identify potential conflicts of interest within Transamerica Agency Network’s business activities and propose mitigation activities to manage the conflicts.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, or equivalent education and experience
5 years of compliance experience with an insurance company, insurance agency, or broker-dealer
Strong knowledge of state insurance laws, rules, and regulations
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills and experience
Ability to work independently and with multiple departments and employees at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and research skills.
Proficiency using MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
FINRA Series 6 and 26 or 7 and 24 a plus
Experience conducting suitability and/or best interest reviews of life and annuity sales
Experience conducting supervisory office inspections
Working Conditions

May require overnight travel up to 20%

The US salary for this position generally ranges between $82,000 – $92,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
