Senior Director - Capital Markets Technology Leader
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development teams to deliver quality solutions utilized by multiple lines of business. Continue to drive the team toward delivery of the best end to end design solutions for the enterprise.
- Responsible for overall hedge system reliability, including architecture, implementation and daily operation
- Ensure smooth production operations of ALM related systems; perform hands-on root cause analysis on production issues, drive for definitive solutions
- Manage all hedge program releases
- Establish solid working relationships with other IT teams and address infrastructure issues as they arise
- Design and maintain overall system architecture and present to the Architecture Review Board
- Manage Agile process, to include requirements gathering, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Maintain SDLC discipline and answer questions from audit and legal
- Keep up on industry trends and educate the business on developments
- Propose new tools to improve operational efficiency and robustness and build appropriate prototypes
- Manage and develop talent in partnership with ALM leaders
- Organize and provide training and cross-trainings to team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent experience
- Twelve years of experience with database design techniques/philosophies, modern distributed applications, and microservices
- Ten years of experience in delivery of large-scale design projects involving interaction with a broad spectrum of enterprise operational functions
- Eight years of experience managing a diverse team and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in the execution of DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deliver, and accomplishments in architecture and strategy.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, including product/service evaluation, contract negotiations, and on-going relationship management
- Familiarity with modern UI development frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue.js) and web technologies (e.g. HTTP, HTML, JS, CSS)
- Results oriented with a strong customer focus
- Strong communication skills to delivery highly relevant and effective information to the Board, executives, and employees.
- Ability to synthesize ambiguous and complex information in a way the leads to substantive actionable outcomes.
- Proactive mindset to drive change, question assumptions and push for innovation solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Experience managing DevOps tooling (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab, CodePipeline, etc.)
- Experience with cloud deploy tooling (Terraform, Cloudformation, etc)
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS or EKS, or AWS Batch.
- Experience with AWS RDS and EMR.
- Extensive experience working in Python
- Experience hiring and developing new teams
- Experience managing high-reliability systems, preferably in finance
- Knowledge of markets and/or the financial services industry

Compensation:
The US salary for this position generally ranges between $200,000 - $245,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally in the US, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
