Where can I find and apply for job vacancies at Aegon?

I don’t see a position that matches my criteria. May I submit an open application?

At this moment it is not possible to submit an open application. Please check the vacancies on our website regularly for the latest job openings.

Can I send in my application by email?

Please submit your application using the online application form provided on the page with the job vacancy description. Using this form will ensure that your application is directed to, and reviewed by the right person.

Is it OK to apply for several different positions?

Yes, that's fine. However, we recommend that you adjust your CV and covering letter for each position, as this will enable you to provide specific examples of why you are the right person for the job.

Do you offer internships or graduate trainee programs?

Vacancies for internships or graduates will be listed on the vacancies section of our website. We also have specific graduate trainee programs in a number of countries. Visit our graduate section for further information.

Do I need to speak Dutch to work at Aegon's Corporate Center?

English is our corporate language, so for most positions Dutch language skills aren't necessary. However,for some positions it may be required or beneficial. In these cases this will be indicated in the job description.

Who can I contact for questions regarding my application?

The contact details of the specific recruiter responsible for each vacancy are included in the ad. For general questions you can find contact details of our Corporate Center recruiters here.

How long will it take before I hear something about my application?

There is normally a period after the application deadline during which we evaluate all applications. However, we endeavor to get back to you as soon as possible. We read all applications and you will always receive a response from us.

What can I expect from the recruitment process?

As a part of the selection process you will be invited to an initial selection interview. We will use this interview to develop a good understanding of your personal qualities, skills and experience, and to discover what motivates you. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about Aegon and our culture, so that we can jointly evaluate how you will thrive within the Group.

Successful applicants will then be invited back for further interview rounds. This normally gives you the opportunity to meet the manager of the position for which you have applied. In some cases, the interview may even be with managers from several departments. The managers you meet will be interested in hearing more about you as a person, as well as your professional achievements and ambitions, and how you see yourself in the role for which you have applied.

During the final stage of the process we will also request your permission to carry out a background check.

How long does the recruitment process take?

The entire recruitment process usually takes 4 to 6 weeks.
