Aegon mourns the loss of Jesús Quintanal, founder and honorary president of Aegon Spain.
Jesús Quintanal, founder of Aegon Spain passed away on March 31, 2020.

Jesús Quintanal, led the entry of the Aegon group in Spain with the acquisition of Seguros Galicia in 1980 and the entire stage of growth between 1987 and 2004. His entrepreneurial character and leadership marked a stage that later led Aegon to become a benchmark in Bancassurance business and Health insurance. Jesús was CEO of Aegon Spain from its origin in 1980 to 2011, later chairman of the board of directors and, since 2018, honorary chairman of the company.
